At the time of starting 'Naan', his maiden venture as an actor, music composer Vijay Antony made it clear that his priority would be scoring music for films, though he was interested at donning the greasepaint. And that is what exactly he did when 'Velayudham' offer knocked at his doors.

Not ready to say no to a Vijay film, especially after songs in his earlier venture with the actor, 'Vettaikaran', emerged chartbusters, Vijay Antony accepted the offer and gave his full attention to 'Velayudham', by halting the shooting of 'Naan'.

Now that he has completed his portion in the Vijay-starrer, including the background score, the music composer is all set to restart his acting venture. "I am happy that songs in Velayudham are topping the charts. I can happily work in Naan now," he says.

Directed by Shankar, a former associate to late cinematographer-director Jeeva, 'Naan' is said to be a musical thriller. Roopa Manjari of 'Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru' fame is the heroine, while Anuya doing an important role. Vijay Antony is also scoring the music besides playing the lead role.
