Elated with the success of Pokkiri, Vijay has commenced shooting for his next venture Azhagiya Tamil Magan.

The shooting commenced at Binny Mills in Chennai. According to Vijay, “This film is a hilarious entertainer. The hero is his own enemy in the movie.”

After Vijay returned from his overseas trip, the shooting started at Binny Mills where scenes of Vijay and Santhanam were shot by debutant director Bharathan. Scenes of Namitha and Vijay will be shot next and this will also include an item number.

Azhagiya Tamil Magan has musical score by AR Rahman.

Vijay hopes to complete the film by July and release it for this Independence Day.
