While the fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay as well as general movie buffs are waiting to watch the star`s mega budget fantasy entertainer Puli` that will hit the screens in less than a couple of weeks from now, we bring you a slice of Vijay`s amazing talent in carrying off stunt sequences from a reliable source with close access to the shooting spot.

Speaking to Indiaglitz, the source said, “While getting ready to shoot stunt sequences Vijay will prepare before every shot to bring freeness to the muscles. When the director calls action` he will plunge into action with a lightning speed. We were shooting a fight sequence between Vijay and a heavy built artist that takes place on a stage. The stunt was basically designed by Dilip Subburayan master while two other choreographers from China and Thailand worked on it. Vijay had to come to the stage roll, jump, fight with him, jump escaping from him and stand at the edge. He has to bend himself to the back and place the tip of the sword in his hand on the ground to get balance. Then he has to push himself straight and get back to the normal posture.

The stunt choreographer rehearsed it with an assistant and suggested using ropes when Vijay had to perform the same. But Vijay refused to use any rope. He okayed all these in a single take. The crowd of 1000 people that included junior artists and onlookers from the village where we were shooting kept clapping for several minutes. Vijay had to ask them to stop clapping as he felt embarrassed by continuous clapping.”
