Vijay's character in the 1980s portion of 'Thalapathy 61'

As we all know Ilayathalapathy Vijay is presently shooting for 'Thalapathy 61' directed by Atlee. The first schedule of the film has been completed and in this schedule the portions set in the 1980s have been canned that includes a village Thirivizha song and a fight scene.

Now it has been revealed that Vijay plays a village chieftain, a do-gooder and a kind of messiah for the people. Nithya Menen plays the wife of this character played by Vijay.

The second schedule of the shooting has commenced a this week after a short break. Vijay and SJ Suryah are shooting for the film in this schedule.

It is said that Vijay plays triple roles in the film which has Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha as the female leads.
