Vijay Sethupathi's 'Karuppan' directed by Panneerselvam and produced by A.M .Ratnam has been censored and the CBFC has awarded a clean U certificate for the village centric love story.  The film in all likelihood will release on the 29th of September, aiming at the long Ayudha Pooja holiday weekend.

'Karuppan' has Tanya as the love interest of Vijay Sethupathi while Bobby Simha plays a powerful antagonist . Kishore, Pasupathy, Singampuli,Renuga,Kaveri and Sharath Lohitashwa are also in the cast of this D.Imman musical.
