The stupendous box office success of 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' has come as a refreshing change in talented and versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi's career who has been seeing a spate of flops in recent years. At this time it will be surprising to know that Vijay Sethupathi did not like the script when it was narrated to him for the first time.

In the exclusive Red Carpet Interview to Indiaglitz NRD's director Vignesh Sivan revealed this.

"Vijay Sethupathi looks a film as a film. He never looks at what kind image he is going to get out of the character. He accepted this film for my sake. I narrated the same story to him two years back and he did not like it. Back then I narrated to him in a different format in a way asking him to suggest heroes for it. Later I told 'sir I am striving very hard to set this project. I want you to do this.' He did it for me. He did not do it for the script."

Whereas the film`s heroine Nayanthara was completely impressed with the script a the first narration and accepted the role instantly after listening to the full script.

"Right from the first narration she just liked the script. After listening the entire narration she said I will 100% do it. And at that point of time, the hero wasn`t fixed. She said whoever the hero is 'I don`t have a problem. I will do this film.' Right from the first point she did not have any questions or apprehensions about the film. " the young and energetic filmmaker revealed in the same interview.
