The concept of Web series is slowly catching up with Tamil people and the members of the Tamil film industry have already started catering to the internet users. Director Balaji Mohan's 'As I am suffering from Kadhal' will go on the annals of history as a first Web series initiative from a Kollywood celebrity.

Now Madhavan has acted in a web series which is scheduled to release soon. In his exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz, the ever charming actor opened in detail about his first web series and why he ventured into it.

"Web series, Tele series, reality shows and game shows... all that have become an alternative source of entertainment and involvement to the public. I have always maintained that a web series is going to be the next big thing. And as people in the entertainment industry, we have to equip ourselves and accept that with open arms. Appointment based television, as it is dying in the US is going to die in India as well. Web series are now international. Kevin Spacey was an extraordinary actor. But with that one series called House of Cards, he's made more money than he ever made in his entire film career. That is the potential of web series. I am doing one called Breath, which will eventually come out in Amazon Prime. Probably the budget is bigger than any of my films. There are some stories that need to be told as a web series. It's one of those stories. It should be out of by August or September. It will be like a binge watching thing. Eight episodes will be out together. Now the best part is Amazon Prime is coming to me and saying 'Maddy we will pay you the equal salary, lets dub it in Tamil also'. So now they are dubbing it in Tamil, Telugu and all that and by the time it comes out it will be global. And you should know that is going to work in all the regions, irrespective of your cultural and language inclinations. "

Maddy has acted in television serials before successfully making his debut into films and becoming a Pan-Indian star And we wish him the best to repeat the same magic with this new emerging platform to showcase his immense acting talent.
