In her six year long career as an actress, Vimala Raman may have appeared in just two Tamil films, but the actress successfully toured the Telugu and Malayalam film industries.

This Australian based model's two Tamil ventures, 'Poi' and ‘Raman Thediya Seethai' didn't impress many and failed at the box-office but the actress sure impressed critics with her performance.

Now the latest is that, Vimala Raman is all set to make a debut in Bollywood. She will play Govinda's lead lady in 'Afra Tafari', a sit-com directed by Haad Ali Abbrar. The movie also stars Sunil Shetty, Arya Babbar, Gulshan Grover and Mugdha Godse.

The film will go on floors by July 17.

Apparently, Sunil Shetty was very impressed with Vimala Raman when he met her at CCL match held in Hyderabad recently. Sunil immediately spoke to the director of the film and got her a chance as heroine next to Govinda!

Post Asin, Trisha and Kajal it is Vimala Raman who is debuting in Bollywood. We'll have to wait to know if luck favours Vimala in B'town...
