Neelakanta's Virdohi, which starred Srikanth in the main, may have gone unrecognized at the box office, but it has not failed to capture the notice of the discerning class of critics in the festival circuit.

The selection panel headed by Sai Paranjye, an eminent screenwriter-director, selected the movie based on its theme. Virodhi's distinction is doubled by the fact that it is the only Telugu film in the list.

Films in the Panorma are selected on the credentials of their aesthetic brilliance and on the basis of their contemporary social relevance. Credit goes to Anil Meka for producing such a film.

It may be remembered that Prasthanam had bagged the honor in the year 2010.
