Official: Vishal to clash with Vijay for theThird time

Actor Vishal's 'Kaththi Sandai' was supposed to have released on November 18. In the wake of cash crunch caused by the demonetization scheme of the Government, the makers have postponed the film's release and announced that the film will release only after people get rid of the problem.

Now it has been confirmed that the film directed by Suraaj will be released for Pongal festival in January 2017. The latest posters of 'Kaththi Sandai' confirms that the film will hit the screens for the first festival weekend of the new year.

This means Pongal will see a head to head clash between Vishal and Ilayathalapathy Vijay for the third time. Vijay's 60th film 'Bairavaa' is also scheduled for Pongal 2017 release.
It is to be noted that 'Kaththi' and 'Poojai' released on Diwali 2014 while 'Pokkiri' and 'Thamirabharani' released for Pongal 2007.
