Ever since Vishal became the Nadigar Sangam Secretary last year and the Producer Council chief this year he has taken many proactive steps to take the film industry forward. He is interacting with both the central and state governments and also trying his best to bring piracy to an end.

One more master plan has been reportedly devised by Vishal to save producers from crores of rupees in interests paid to third parties. The norm in the industry is a producer pays an advance of upto fifty percent of the salaries of big stars. In the case of Vijay or Ajith this advance amount is about fifteen to twenty crores. If the project takes six or seven months, then the interests for that amount jumps to a few crores. Vishal has suggested that big heroes in the interest of the producers should only take one or two crores as advance and collect their salaries before the release of the film. Suriya, Karthi and a few other heroes have agreed to this as per sources. The million dollar question here is whether the top paid stars like Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Sivakarthikeyan will accept this good sounding plan.
