Vishwaroop
What is it?
With this bilingual (Hindi & Tamil) spy thriller, living legend Kamal Haasan has went on to prove how far he is multi-talented. `Vishwaroop' (Vishwaroopam in Tamil) literally showcases him in different avatars as that of a director, producer, screenplay writer and actor. Being a first of its kind venture, the film has been shot with Auro 3D sound format.
The film is touted to be made in a whooping budget of 150 crore rupees and is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raajkamal Films International along with PVP Cinema. Music is by Shankar Ehsaan Loy while cinematography is by Sanu Varghese.
Besides Kamal, the film stars Pooja Kumar, Shekhar Kapur, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nasser, Zarina Wahab and Atul Tiwari in pivotal roles.
The Story Outline
The story is set against the backdrop of America in 2012 where Vishwanath alias Wiz, a Kathak exponent, and Nirupama, get married. Each have an agenda and seem to have achieved their wishes within three years of matrimony. Nirupama gets her Ph.D and Wiz runs his dance class in New Jersey, unhindered by each other.
All is fine till Dr. Nirupama aspires for more and wants to opt out of the arranged marriage. She cannot cite any specific reason to leave Wiz as there is nothing to complain about. Every male according to Nirupama must have a flaw. So she decides to find out something about him to feel better about her decision to part. Nirupama then hires a detective to rake up something on him, wires get cross-connected and before we know it hell breaks loose.
