If Salman Khan is the 'bhai' of commercial 'masala' flicks, Arshad too is turning out to be the 'baba' of his middle-of-the-road mid-sized films. He is now involved in decision making of many of his films where he is the senior most of the lot.

"When the makers of 'Zila Ghaziabad' were left wondering about whom to cast after things didn't work out with Sonu Sood, it was Arshad Warsi who picked up the mantle of getting the project rolling. He called up Vivek (Oberoi) and told him that he had to step in", informs a source attached to the film.

Vivek, who was waiting to lay his hands on something exciting after 'Rakht Charitra' and 'Krrish 2', also didn't hesitate one bit and immediately agreed.

"What a wonderful man," Vivek express his gratitude here, "It was Arshad who picked up the phone and informed me about this wonderful script of 'Zila Ghaziabad'. Despite the fact that this is a lead protagonist that I get to play, Arshad was most gracious in insisting that I do it. He plays a very exciting negative character in the film. I am glad that he thought of me. I had no reasons to say 'no'."

The pace at which Arshad is getting his near and dear ones into the projects featuring him (buzz is that he also recommended Kangna for 'Dedh Ishqiya'), one wonders who is next in the list of the actor's 'My Favourites' when it comes to casting of his upcoming films like 'Jolly LLB' and Sagar Ballary's next.
