Vivek becomes a hero

Coming from K Balachander's school, this comedy actor made a humble beginning. After a string of small and unnoticeable roles, he went to establish himself as a successful comedy actor in Kollywood. His comedy in the lines of veteran comedy artiste N S Krishnan won him great accolades.

This comedy artiste, Vivek, often referred to as 'Chinna Kalaivanar' in the industry, with his voice modulations and dialogues won the admiration of the masses. In the recent past, his presence on the screen with the hero became quite a common thing. From a successful comedian, Vivek is all set to become a hero now. Vivek has been assigned to play the lead role in a movie titled Solli Adippen.

Being produced by Krishnakanth who churned out movies including Vikram starrer King and Dhanush starrer Thiruda Thirudi, Solli Adippen has actress Chaya Singh playing Vivek's ladylove.

The movie is being directed by SAC Ramki, who worked in movies including King, Bagawathy, Once More, Dum, Thiruda Thirudi and Hey as art-director. He makes his debut as director with Solli Adippen.

Asked about the film, he says, 'success follows a person, who does all his works as per a plan. Nothing is difficult in this world if approached in a planned manner'.

The shooting for the movie will commence this September and be shot in and around Tiruchy, Madurai,Mangalore and Yercaud. Ashish Vidyarthy, Delhi Ganesh, Chinny Jayanth and Tejashree are also in the cast.

Music is being scored by Deva and dialogues are by Prasanna Kumar.

Solli Adippen will be released this December.
