Three years back, Aamir Khan played someone 20 years younger than him in '3 Idiots'.

Though Vivek Oberoi didn't have to go so much back in time for his film 'Kismat Love Paisa Dilli' [KLPD], it was still nothing less than a challenge for him to turn a decade younger.

Though he recently turned 36, in his film he plays a 25 year old Delhi youngster.

"And trust me, I was so nervous enacting this part", confesses Vivek, "I have done 25-30 films over the years but still I was so very conscious that how would I play the character of a 25 year old.

Moreover this boy has his own traits as well which are very distinctive to him. He has this boyish charm even as he does these quirky mad things and finds himself in the craziest of situations.

To get the part right, I also had to modulate my voice so that it doesn't come across as too strong."

This isn't all as he had to ensure that instead of coming across as a hero, he conveyed the impression of a boy next door who was as regular as it can get.

Laughs Vivek, "This is the reason you would see ki ye ladka pit raha hai, maar bhi kha raha hai.

He is 'tharki' and also has this vulnerability about him. Still, he is serious and later when the time comes for him to rise from being a common man and show some elements of heroism, though not really going over the top, he does that as well.

However that entire body language had to be worked out accordingly."

An Amit Chandrra production, 'Kismat Love Paisa Dilli' is directed by Sanjay Khanduri and releases all over on 5th October.
