Prabhu has finally broken his silence on the criticism that his recent advertisement for a jewellery brand, which had Vikram Prabhu comparing Amitabh Bachchan with Sivaji Ganesan, insulted the 'Nadigar Thilakam'.

"Where did we demean Sivaji? Vikram Prabhu never said that Amitabh looked like Sivaji. He only said that he was reminded of his legendary grandfather on seeing Amitabh with beard and veshti. What's wrong in this?" says Prabhu.

He further says: "My brother Ramkumar is the head of our family now. We used appa's name only after getting permission from him (Ramkumar). When he himself doesn't have any objection, how can others question?"
