Nitya Menon Interview

Excerpts...

Very happy

I am very happy that three different genre films of mine have been released in two weeks. I am elated with the response for three films. I started working for the three films last year and it just happened that all of them released at the same time.

Admire his work

I am not bothered about if my role in a film is small or big. Because if the character I am offered is sensible, I would do it even if it is small. I am not an actress who only wants to do lead roles. I admire Trivikram's work a lot. I enjoyed his last film 'Attarintiki Daaredi' very much. He is a director, who makes commercial films very intelligently. There would be some strong point in his films. So when he offered me the role, I liked it and immediately signed 'S/o Satyamurthy'.

No apprehensions

I've no apprehensions and inhibitions as an actor. As an actress, I should be able to do all types of roles. I respect Mani Ratnam sir a lot. I also respect love and love to express it. I also got connected to the character Tara well. So I acted in 'Ok Bangaram'.

Exposing doesn't sound classy

If we do good acting, our chemistry with someone would be good. Dulquar Salman and me acted together previously and so we had lot of comfort working together.

The expressions are genuine and it is all real in Mani Ratnam's films. He shows everything very classy. Exposing doesn't sound classy.

We have no right to question

Everybody have their own feelings and no one has right the judge them and say if they are right or wrong. So I can't say if live in relationships are right or wrong. But personally feel that marriages are not working so well as they had some years back. Twenty years back, a couple used to get married and live happily for a life time, even if they don't know each other before marriage. But I think it is not happening now. So live in relationships can be right.

Love people here

I like Telugu film industry and the people here very much. I've maximum number of successes in Telugu and people also receive me well. People who work with me love to work with me again.

I've no problem working in a Bollywood film, if I am offered a good role.
