The Jimikki Kammal song video and Sheril who danced in the video have become an overnight sensation. Especially the Tamil boys have fallen head over heels in love with this Malayali girl who works as a professor in the Indian School of Commerce. The song is actually composed for and featured in the recently released Malayalam film 'Velipadinte Pusthakam' but this video where a group of girls and boys are dancing for the song has gone viral. 

Many fan pages have been created in social media for Sheril and she is being flooded with interviews as mainstream media in the state is also trying to cash in on the frenzy.

In one of her interviews Sheril was asked who is her favourite actor in Tamil and for this she instantly replied it is Ajith. 

It must be noted that Thalapathy Vijay has a huge fan following in Kerala and his popularity as a star is equal to that of Malayalam stars. Ajith fan base is also gradually expanding in the God's Own Country.  

Meanwhile Sheril has said she is willing to act in Tamil films if she gets good character.
