Vikranth is playing a negative role in Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Gethu'. He plays a Navy special operations unit officer, who is bold, arrogant and has shades of grey. This is for the first time Vikranth is doing a negative role.

"I am very careful and choosy these days and when I came across 'Gethu' offer, I found it very interesting. Working with Udhayanidhi, director Thirukumaran and cinematographer Sukumar is a wonderful experience," says Vikranth.

Recently, scenes involving Vikranth, Udhayanidhi and Sathyaraj were shot in Kodaikanal. Amy Jackson is playing the heroine of 'Gethu', tipped to be a family-oriented commercial entertainer.
