While Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have steered clear of last week's spat between Shahrukh Khan and Shirish Kunder, one man who has chosen mum right through this thrilling episode is Akshay Kumar. Known for his stance of staying away when it comes to controversies, especially the ones related to Bollywood, Akshay has chosen not to react to one of the most infamous turnarounds that have happened in the current times.

"One would have felt that Akshay would share his point of view around the 'slapgate' incident. However such expectations would be carried only by those who don't known Akshay well," says a friend, "He is someone who stays away from controversy of any kind."

It was exactly the case this time around too when Akshay wasn't found sharing his two cents on the ruckus that took place. This despite the fact that he is working in Shirish's 'Joker' which is all set to release this August.

"For him, Farah and Shirish are like family. He worked with them in 'Tees Maar Khan' when they were trying to find an alternate leading man post their fallout with Shahrukh Khan. Despite 'Tees Maar Khan' finding its fair share of detractors, he hung on to his promise of doing 'Joker'. However the buck just stops there for him. Beyond the movies and matters which are directly related to him, he never interferes," the source continues.

No wonder, there has been absolute silence from Akshay's end and he isn't willing to break it either, especially now when things have seemingly settled down on the SRK-Shirish episode. The fact that he is out of Mumbai and is shooting in Hampi (Karnataka) for 'Rowdy Rathore' has further helped the actor remain silent and incommunicado.
