Why Kamal preferred U/A for Viswaroopam

You could have read in these columns some time back that Kamal Haasan's 'Viswaroopam' was given a U/A certificate by the Censor board. There is a story behind the certification.

It was Kamal who insisted that his movie be given U/A certificate, since he felt that the subject of 'Viswaroopam' is not suited for everyone.

According to Kamal, some amount of intelligence and awareness of international affairs is required to understand the movie. Hence he opted for U/A certificate.

Starring Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah as female leads, 'Viswaroopam' is equipped with Aura 3D sound technology, for the first time in India. The film's audio is expected to be out soon.
