The rumours have been going on forever now. In keeping with the south Indian tradition of popular heroes getting into politics, it has been long felt that mega star Chiranjeevi is the only actor, who has the goodwill and the following that is required to make it big in politics these days. Given his charisma and philanthropic work through the Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Bank in the past few years, he was being constantly pestered by the media and the industry alike to float a political party. When Indra released a few years back, it was predicted that he was testing the waters and that he would take the plunge finally. The film was a huge hit, but the megastar stayed away from politics.
But sources close to the mega star say he himself has been dilly-dallying quite a bit and is not sure if he wants to get into mainstream politics. Recently, many political leaders too have been hinting that he would be an ideal candidate to launch a party as he would be able to garner the votes of not only his fans from within his own community, but also other communities.

Now, the media too is full of speculative reports that he might finally give in to the public demand. Though he is quite distraught following the personal crisis in his family, many feel going into the masses would help him both personally and politically. The launch of Common Man’s Protection Force by Pawan Kalyan too is looked upon by many as an indicator of things to come.

If his fans and advisors have their way, then the mega star could be cajoled into floating a party by early January.
