While Chetan Bhagat is completely immersed in the writing process of Salman Khan's 'Kick', work is progressing in full swing on his '2 States' which is being adapted by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala with Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as the main leads.

However the writer agrees that while he is hands-on into rewriting the screenplay for 'Kick' which would be directed by Sajid himself, when it comes to '2 States' he is not being directly involved.

"That's true. Karan Johar and his team is deeply involved in the making of the film and they are still in the writing stages. In any case, they have the book and it is quite straightforward enough for them to go ahead and adapt that", says Chetan.

He adds after a pause, "Of course if they want my inputs then I will give them. In any case my hands are full and I would rather work on newer projects. I enjoy working on that more than readapting my own work."

Meanwhile 'Kai Po Che', an Abhishek Kapoor film which is based on his novel 'The 3 Mistakes of My Life' is all set for release as well and the production house UTV Motion Pictures would soon be announcing details around screen adaptation of 'Revolution 2020'

"For someone like me who doesn't quite considers himself as a Bollywood person, this is quite a lot happening", smiles Chetan.

Well Chetan, guess that's the 'kick' of the affairs you feel once you seep into the industry!
