Bandla Ganesh has officially confirmed that Gabbar Singh would be released in the second week of May. Thus, the film's earlier release date of May 9 is unconfirmed as yet. It is said that the film may release on May 11, which is a Friday.

Pushing the film by two days, i.e., releasing it on a Friday will mean a lot at a time when overseas collections mean a lot. Remember Businessman was released on a Friday because the producers did not want to lose out on the advantage of weekend collections in the US market.

Ganesh has said that the response to the film's audio has been tremendous.

Pawan participated in the shooting of Kevvu Keka with Malika Arora Khan. He is currently shooting for the title track.
