Actress Saloni got a major push when Rajamouli gave her the chance of a life-time in his film Maryada Ramanna. Ever since she made an impact as a traditional girl in that film, she has been getting some offers from in Tollywood. She now awaits the release of Telugammai, where she is cast in a performance-oriented role.

Directed by Raja Vannemreddy and produced by Vanapalli Babu Rao on the banner of Vaishnavi Movies, the film will be released on the 14th of October. Saying that the film has been made to entertain all sections of audiences, the producer said that Saloni plays the role of a daring girl.

Presenter Harirama Jogaiah says, 'It is not just a village belle?s story. It is the story of a girl called Bala Tripura Sundari of coastal Andhra. There are four heroes in the film. The entire first half of the film runs in Godavari Express and would entertain the audiences. Shafi is playing the mail villain. The first half contains the scenes involving the heroine, heroes and the villain, while a new characters enters the scene in the second half. He is none other than the dynamic character artiste Saikumar. The film takes several twists later and the suspense continues till the end of the film.' Music is by Vandemataram Srinivas, camera is by Vasu and editing is by Gauthamraju.
