Ahead of the release of Vijay's huge budgeted adventure fantasy movie 'Puli', Income tax department has conducted raids on the houses of Vijay, producers Shibu Thameens and PT Selva Kumar.

The IT officials have raided the houses, suspecting that the investments in the project are illegitimate. They say that a lot of investments are not explained.

Now we will have to wait and see if the release of the film will be affected as the raids are still going on and more and more IT officials are joining for the searches.

According to sources, many theatre owners in Tamil Nadu have already cancelled the early morning shows and 8 am shows tomorrow (1st October) and refunding the money. Not only Vijay's, the IT officials have also raided the houses of Nayanthara, Samantha and many others in 32 places.
