He has done many remakes in his career, but of late, he seems to have been relying only on them. Though his recent remake films 'Masala', 'Bodyguard' and 'Nagavalli' have not done well at the box-office, he is opting only to remake films.

He is currently acting in the remake of Mohan Lal's super hit Malayalam film, 'Drishyam' and his multi-starrer film with Pawan Kalyan, which is the remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Oh My God' will start soon.

As Venkatesh's previous two films are failures, he has pinned so many hopes on these two remakes. If these films are adapted in a right way so as to suit the Telugu nativity, they will sure become hits. Because both the subjects are very good and well received in the respective industries. It is to be seen whether Venkatesh will come to form again with these films.
