He is the man who penned several hits like ‘An Evening In Paris’, ‘Caravan’, ‘Golmaal’ ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Krrish’. And recently the talented writer left for heavenly abode.

Sachin Bhowmick passed away on Tuesday afternoon after a prolonged illness. Aged 82, the noted writer had worked with directors like J Om Prakash, Subhash Ghai, Rakesh Roshan and Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

Bhowmick was cremated at Mumbai's Shivaji Park crematorium by his family.

Said Ghai to sources, "It's a great personal loss. He was most interested in films, but never a filmy person. He was a legend in screenwriting since 1960. He led me from Karz (1980) to Yuvvraaj (2008) in over 10 films. He was a true gentleman all the way." Bhowmick also directed a film titled ‘Raja Rani’ in 1973, which starred Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore.

Our heartfelt condolences for the writer’s near and dear ones…..
