The Nizam theatrical rights of Jayam Ravi-starrer Yama Pasham, India's first zombie thriller, has been bought for a fancy price by Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. In the recent past, the banner has had releases like Raju Gari Gadhi and Jata Kalisey.

Yama Pasham, which is Miruthan in Tamil, is touted to be a first-of-its-kind movie.

Shakti Soundar Rajan is the director. Lakshmi Menon is the female lead. D Imman is the music director. The film is slated to be released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu on Feb 19; it will lock horns with Krishnashtami.
