Quirky titles are always known to land heavily in our minds and Tamil audiences love to see a movie that has a catchy title and equally engrossing movie. This naughty Romcom is directed by Madhan Kumar and the film also features debutant Sundeep Kishan, Dimple Chopade, Jagan, Livingston, Uma Padmanabhan, Srinath, Swaminathan and Singamuthu. Music is by Gopisundar who is prominent in Malayalam film industry and the production department has been taken care by Red Post. Right, the trailer has been doing quite well lately and let's find out who is this Mahesh is

Who is this Mahesh

The story is all about a lazy go youth Siva played by Sundeep who goes in search of a person called Mahesh. Jagan is Vasanth, Sundeep's sidekick and through the first half the two bring the house down with their gimmicks. Shiva and Vasanth's agenda is full of flirting, drinking getting in trouble etc. Cupid strikes Sundeep in the form of Dimple Chopade and he falls heads over heels for her. Sundeep is just the vagabond who doesn't care much about anything in particular and brings trouble to everyone around him, and little does he realize that.

As usual the hero and heroine fall in love and have the time of their life. Now when you just start wondering where the story is heading to, the twist comes in the form of Mahesh. The casual love heads for a U turn, when Dimple gets pregnant and quickly the couple is whiskered to marriage by their parents. Post marriage and fatherhood, Sundeep finds out he is not the rightful father and the marriage was an act of his wife's convenience. It angers him pretty madly and he heads out to find the guy responsible for all this. Enter the character of Mahesh The rest is for you to see and find out what happens.

The Good search and The Bad Search for Mahesh

Firstly and rightfully the director deserves a lot of praise for bringing out such a simple concept as an enjoyable ride. The movie is filled with laughs unlimited and is sure to bring the college goers for a second round. Jagan is not just funny, but quick witted and can make you double with laughter at his mere sight. A scene when he gets kicked in his nuts is enough to bring the floor down with guffaws! He steals the show throughout the movie quite convincingly. As for Sandeep, he is a great find to South Indian cinema, very cool and casual but might need to look at his dance which is clearly off the hook. Dimple is sweet and looks gorgeous, but her dubbing looks haywire at certain scenes.

Rest of the cast

Livingston, Sandeep's dad is comfortable in his role of a jolly dad, but you might wonder where you will find a father searching a son's shelf for an adult rated movie and worse, discuss that with his son. Lollu Sabha fame Swaminathan is fine, however is erratic after a point of time with some repetitive humor. The Director's intention is quite clear, targeting the youth with some one liners that they often hear in their daily life, however some of the jokes are very low and might hurt a few. He has made a movie with some light hearted humor and then all of a sudden you might feel an aroma of thrills and some CID work, but he eases the pace with simple comedy.

Not to much reveal much, however for those who are into Bollywood movies, they might find this movie a resemblance of one of Abhishek Bachchan's mega hit flick. But the movie is penned in its own unique way, so watch out for the climax which has a surprise package. Songs in the movie are very average except for the melody from Haricharan. BGM however has a little more than the original score.

Albeit, the movie is a fun ride full of one liners, adult rated jokes, some exploration toil by the hero and lots to offer in the two hours of entertainment.

Verdict :  Yaaruda Mahesh, go find out and you might go Ha Ha
