“Sisters are the best." - Akshay Kumar ahead of 'Raksha Bandhan' release

Superstar Akshay Kumar's box office record this year hasn't been very good and the actor would like to change that with his upcoming film 'Raksha Bandhan'. Directed by Anand L Rai, the film will be a wholesome family drama focusing on beautiful brother sister relationships. During a recent media interaction, Akshay gave example of his sister Alka Bhatia and stated that "sisters are the best".

He told IANS, "It’s an amazing bond. Your sister is your best friend. You can keep your head on her shoulders and share everything. She’s always there for you. I have rarely heard that the sister is not there for her brother. Sometimes you get to hear the brother is not there but I have never heard that the sister is not there. There is no one who can love you more than your sister."

Akshay further added, “Sisters are the best and I agree, because when I see my own home I would say that my sister is much better than me as a person also.”

Also starring Bhumi Pednekar, 'Raksha Bandhan' is set to release on 11th of August.
