Final Hearing in Dhanush’s Lawsuit Against Nayanthara’s Wedding Documentary Set for April 9

Chennai : The Madras High Court has scheduled the final hearing of actor Dhanush’s lawsuit against the use of his film’s shooting footage in actress Nayanthara’s wedding documentary for April 9.

The case was filed by Dhanush’s production company, alleging that certain scenes from his movie’s shoot were included without authorization in the documentary about Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan’s wedding, which was released on Netflix. The company has demanded ?10 crore in damages for the unauthorized usage of the footage.

Earlier, the court had reviewed the arguments presented by both sides, and after considering the legal aspects, it decided to postpone the final hearing to April 9. The case has drawn significant attention from the Tamil film industry, as it involves two major stars.

Further developments regarding the case are expected after the final hearing, which could determine whether the documentary makers are liable for damages.
