The much-delayed Sanjay Dutt starrer "Sarhad Paar", directed by Raman Kumar, has got embroiled in a fresh controversy and is unlikely to be released soon.

The film about a prisoner of war in Pakistan was intermittently delayed due to the changing nature of India-Pakistan relations. But the film's producers, Nimbus Communications, had said it was likely to release soon.

While the producers claimed in a section of the media that the film was complete and ready to hit the theatres after the addition of a hot number picturised on Rahul Dev, director Raman Kumar said he was not aware of any such song incorporated in the film.

"This is news to me. If such a number has been shot it has been done without my knowledge since I have no information on it. It is true that Rahul Dev plays an important negative role of a mercenary in the film but the producers never mentioned that a song was being picturised on him to boost the market value of the film," Kumar said.

He was also surprised when told the film had 11 songs.

He pointed out that the story of a woman who brings back her husband, a prisoner of war in Pakistan, after his release, is much the same as mentioned by the Nimbus producers but the film is far from being completed with Sanjay Dutt's work still pending.
