Success smiles at those who think differently, it can be said. ‘Mathiyosi’ is an attempt to educate people in this regard, says filmmaker Nandha Periyasamy, who made his debut with Arya starrer ‘Oru Kalluriyin Kadhai’.

‘Mathiyosi’, produced by PSK Reddy, stars newcomers Harish, Alex, Gopal, Visak with ‘Kanchivaram’-fame Shammu. It is a tale of four ruffians who have not been exposed to the outside world. After a particular incident they are forced to flee their village to Chennai.

How they face new situations and people in an opulent world, is narrated in a lighter vein. They do anything and everything for their survival. They strongly believe that the world is theirs and whatever they do under the sun is justified, he says.

A highlight is that acclaimed filmmakers Sasikumar and Mysskin are involved in the project. Sasikumar has lent his voice for the movie. It opens with his narration about the boys and their acts. Mysskin has penned a song that will come in the climax.

Thanking both Sasikumar and Mysskin, Nandha Periyasamy says, “in spite of their busy schedule, they readily agreed to associate with the movie. It is nice to see contemporary filmmakers come together without any ego or airs,” he says and adds, 'both were impressed with the storyline and encouraged the crew a lot.”
