Anurag Basu's ‘Barfee’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra is said to carry dark tones since the hero plays a deaf and mute character while heroine plays a mentally challenged girl. But sources shared that it’s not the actual case; for the film is contrastingly cheerful.

According to sources, ‘Barfee’ has been scripted in such a way that it reflects happiness and positivity. The film is said to present plenty of humour, music, dancing and singing. Following this, the film will feature nearly 10-12 songs, in spite the fact that the protagonist doesn’t talk or speak! Incidentally that’s the reason why the film which was earlier titled ‘Silence’ has now been changed into ‘Barfee’.

"Though Ranbir's character of 'Barfee' cannot hear or speak, he will be shown to be a happy-go-lucky sod. He will be goofy and fun-loving, making others laugh while laughing at his own debilitating disabilities," added the sources.

'Barfee' also stars south hottie Ileana D'Cruz.

Hmm, let’s wait for this hatke entertainer…
