Announced over four years ago, there is still no sight of 'Munnabhai Chale Amerika'. As things stand today, this Sanjay Dutt-Arshad Warsi starrer won't be going on floors for one more year at the least. In fact Vidhu Vinod Chopra has moved on to his other production 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' while also shelving 'Taalismaan'.

"The franchise has a huge name and there is immense pressure on Rajkumar Hirani to make the film," informs a source, "However it is a matter of time before he gets everything in place and are ready to call 'action' all over again. He is a perfectionist and takes his own sweet time to get everything right on paper. It's just that he is just a little busy with looking after some aspects of the making of 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari'."

While Hirani was unavailable for comments, expectedly the film's cast too wasn't much forthcoming. On much prodding, all that Arshad was willing to comment was, "The film is pretty much happening, there is no denying that. I heard just three weeks back that we would be going on floors early next year."

Well, one does hope it indeed does happen this time around. After '3 Idiots', it would be just fitting to have this instalment of 'Munnabhai' turn out to be three times the fun at the least.
