'Queen' continues its extraordinary run in the second week as well and has turned out to be a rare outing when the second week is better than first week (albeit by just a few lakhs). In the times when the best of the films fall by 60%-70% in their second week and rejected films go all the way down, this Vikas Bahl directed film has done the unthinkable. After a fantastic first week, the film had a repeat story to tell in the second week as well, as a result of which the current billing reads as 38 crore.

Now these are very good numbers for a film which had a barely passable first day and then found its voice, courtesy word of mouth from the audience. Though even before 'Queen' there have been films hailed by critics, it is 'janta ki awaaz' that spun its magic and ensured that the film stayed in news right all this while. The film will now cross the 40 crore total of 'Vicky Donor' in its third weekend itself though 60 crore total of 'Kahaani' is improbable. Still, Kangna has all the reasons to celebrate as she has a clean HIT in her kitty.

On the other hand it was an all around disappointing outing for Ayushmann Khurranna, Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor with 'Bewakoofiaan' not even getting a high at the box office, leave aside suffering a fall. Though it was expected that the film would manage to stay stable at the box office, none of that happened as it stayed flat right through its week long run. With a mere 13 crore coming in, the film has had a poor show theatrically. Yes, Yash Raj Films would manage to break even due to non-theatrical rights but for a production house which is known for making films for theater viewing, it is a forgettable outing.
