Kalpana Lajmi's 'Chingaari' is picking up heat with every passing day. The movie would be released in around a couple of weeks from now and the world is waiting to sit up and take notice of Sushmita Sen enacting the role of the central protagonist. More so, because this is the first time she would be seen on screen as a prostitute.
Before Sushmita number of Bollywood actresses have donned the greasepaint to enact a prostitute on screen. Some met with great success, some didn't. Amongst the recent performances, the ones that got noticed most were Preity Zinta in 'Chori Chori Chuke Chupke', Madhuri Dixit in 'Devdas', Kareena Kapoor in 'Chameli' and Rani Mukherjee in 'Mangal Pandey - The Rising'.
Amongst the top actresses, the only ones that remain now to play such a role are Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra. Are the film makers listening?
