If you have been wondering who is this man whose name finds a mention in Sandeep Chowta’s latest album ‘Mallika - I Hate You’, then let’s tell you some details about him.

Jay is known primarily as one of the world's leading pianists. His style is rooted in jazz, but extends to blues, gospel, folk, rock, country-rock as well. He is one of the pioneers in adapting "world music" into piano performances. He has establishes global recognition as a composer, producer and engineer.

He is also known as the man who discovered Sheryl Crow.

A true artist, visionary & entrepreneur, Jay Oliver has spent the last 15 years walking quietly through the shadows of the music industry, sprinkling his magic on various talented people.

This list begins with Sheryl Crow (whose talent he has honed and cultivated and whose work he has produced), includes famed songwriter/storyteller Jimmy Buffett, and ends with The Eagles (whom he was largely responsible for post-production of the "Hell Freezes Over" CD/DVD as well as the Millennium Project Live Recording). In the jazz world, he has worked and performed with his long-time partner Dave Weckl (noted as the world's most prolific drummer - and also Chick Corea (Grammy- Award-Winning Jazz Legend)
