“It is the characterless character,” says Sandhya Mridul about her role in Tanvir Khan’s ‘Deadline-Sirf 24 Ghante’ releasing this Friday. “I enjoyed working with Konkona, Irrfan and other stars and the team members. In fact I did not have the dates for the film but somehow I guess I was destined to do this film.”

Director Tanvir Khan is of the opinion that his film will be talked about for its production quality, unique storytelling and the treatment. Irrfan Khan is currently shooting for ‘A Mighty Heart’ with Angelina Jolie in Pune and that makes him the trump card for ‘Deadline’. He said, “I am playing a role of a writer who later becomes the kidnapper. His wife (Sandhya Mridul) is very nice and supportive. I am very much excited about this film and it is one of my best films. I had accepted this film because my character in it has many emotional shades in it and it stands for a strong sense of morality. It is a character that many will be able to relate to on emotional level.”

Konkona Sensharma who’s had a great year with films like ‘Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota’ and ‘Omkara’ is excited about ‘Deadline’ too. “The script was so well written that in spite of being comparatively new, we could finish the film in three months,” she says.

The promos of this film are exciting. It remains to be seen if the film actually matches the excitement that has been generated in the thirty second clips.
