All set to hit the theatres this Friday, 'Billu' does not follow the same track as its predecessors. At least that is what the creators have to say about the film. We thought 'Katha Parayumbol' in Malayalam was what stirred Priyadarshan to direct 'Billu'.

Reports indicate that Mushtaq Sheik the –co-author of this film along with Priyadarshan the director has said that 'Billu' takes a different route from the 'Katha Parayumbol' script. 'Katha Parayumbol', that was a super-hit with the Kerala audience, literally bombed in spite of the superstar playing the lead while it was remade in Tamil as 'Kuselan'. So are the Hindi counterparts worried if they will be able to deliver a hit with 'Billu'?

The director and writer are absolutely confident of the King Khan starrer. They feel that making a film in Bollywood is quite different from the ones made down South. The style, attitude and everything else undergoes a change when a film from South is remade in Bollywood.

But whatever said or done 'Billu' has created so much hype much before its release. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan, and Lara Dutta in the lead roles. It is also rumored that King Khan was almost in tears at the climax of the film during the preview. Hope the film strikes a cord with us too.

So come this Valentine's Day and you can treat your valentine with tickets for the two of you to watch 'Billu'!
