Finally the deal has been signed… Earlier we had mentioned that the Dharmendra-Amitabh Bachchan’s classic comedy ‘Chupke Chupke’ will be remade. Now here’s the latest update about the project…

According to sources, comedy king David Dhawan will be helming the new version. Sohail Maklai along with Vishvaas Paandya of White Stripes will be producing the movie. While Rumi Jaffrey has been signed on as the writer, the cast is yet to be finalized.

Grapevines have it that Abhishek Bachchan and Bobby Deol will be roped in for the lead roles which were played by their fathers - Big B and Dharmji – respectively in the original. It’s also heard that Big B might also join the cast list! Sources close to the project said that the wish list is to have these actors on board. Since it’s a classic film that most filmmakers would dare not go on that path, enough measures are being taken to make a unique film yet again.

Stay tuned for more…..
