Jimmy Shergill has been enjoying the numero uno tag as a superstar up in Punjab for last many years now. In fact that's one of the major reasons why he is now in a comfortable stage to change genres for his films and move ahead from being a lover boy. Hence after a romantic musical (Tera Mera Ki Rishta), a comedy (Munde UK De) and a romantic drama (Mel Karade Rabba), Jimmy has now decided to take on the route of a political drama in the form of 'Dharti', a Punjabi-Hindi bilingual.

"I have promised my audience that I would give them something new instead of the same old trash," says Jimmy, "In any case I don't do Punjabi films for money, I do them for respect. It's the audience there which expects things from me. Sometimes they do ask me that with a film like 'Dharti', why am I taking a risk? Why don't I go ahead and make another campus flick. My reply to them is that if I and my team won't take a risk, who else would?"

Well Jimmy, hope this risk is indeed worthy enough and delivers as promised. It would be known by one and all when 'Dharti' releases on 22nd April.
