It is surprising that 'Teen Thay Bhai', despite being a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra production, has just not seen much hype building for itself. There was ample time for the film to be promoted but the makers seem to have kept it all under control rather than making much noise around it. The film's setting and scale is on the same lines as 'Tanu Weds Manu' which was again a 'desi' entertainer with a small town outlook. While the Madhavan-Kangna starrer was all over various media forums, 'Teen Thay Bhai' has been relatively quieter. The film's music hasn't worked either which means the film is on a very shaky ground.

The makers are taking consolation from the fact that it's production costs are quite low and majority of moolah that was spent on it has been recovered from non-theatrical rights. This means that even if the film manages half decent business at the box office, it would be in a profit zone. Also, the film is arriving solo which means audience choice is pretty restricted to 'Teen Thay Bhai', 'Thank You' and to some extent F.A.L.T.U.

However from opening perspective one doesn't see more than 30%-40% footfalls as of now. The promos do convey a whacky entertainer in the making but for that word of mouth has to spread really fast with positive reviews further helping the cause.
