If newbie Madhu Shalini is really irritated with the state of affairs en route to her Bollywood debut in 'Department', she is doing a rather good job of not showing it on her face. Even though rumour mongers are (yet again) wondering if her director Ram Gopal Varma is giving her special attention ever since he decided to launch her with his cop v/s gangster flick, the young girl from Hyderabad feels that it is amusing for any and every girl to be considered as the filmmaker's muse the moment she steps into his world.

"Madhu may be starting afresh in Bollywood but she knows the way film fraternity works in general. She has done a few films down South in last five years and has seen such rumours catching steam. However she is particularly surprised with the way media tends to attach every girl's name with Ramu," says a close associate.

She isn't willing to humour her way out of the situation either and is dead serious when it comes to speculative stories making the rounds. "I guess the cycle goes on the same way for everyone in the industry. This is plain irresponsible but then I don't wish to make a big scene out of it," she says.

When asked whether she would have preferred media to link her up with a hunky Rana instead of a middle aged Ramu, she snapped back stating, "Be it Rana or Ramu, I don't want to be linked up with anyone. I am so happy in my life right now and focusing on my career. There are way too many important things to be concentrated upon instead of planning my link-ups."

Fair point Madhu. We too wish that it is indeed your act as a gangster in 'Department' which ends up catching our attention more than anything else.
