Ever since Miss Balan appeared as Lolita in ‘Pareenita’ there's never been much doubt that she's a good actress as well as a vixenish beauty. ‘The Dirty Picture’ makes it clear that Vidya Balan is exceptionally fine, intelligent, vivid actress whose beauty is undiminished.

Lucky to be offered the role for which any Madhubala, Monroe, Loren, Madhuri, Kajol or even Rakhi Sawant, Bindu, or any bombast bimbo in the world of light camera and action would have died for.

Vidya has completely indulged herself in the role of Silk - the tongue-lashing siren in ‘The Dirty Picture’ which can woo viewers from any part of the cinema world. Vidya who has always portrayed role with a difference be it ‘Ishqiya’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ or ‘Paa’ but ‘The Dirty Picture’ is beyond.

Cutting a commanding figure in the film Vidya completely owns the enterprise in spite of two known and senior actors like Naseerudin Shah and Emraan Hashmi. An achievement only by the likes of Hema Malini and Sridevi in their heydays were able to accomplish.

Gaining 25 lbs for the role and looking bountiful as well as gorgeous… The 100% commitment has seen the result at the B.O. on its opening day. The collections are around 9-10 crores at par with ‘Desi Boyz’ which starred B-town super hunks Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

‘The Dirty Picture’ is a brave attempt to look at the untouched version of female exploitation in the world of cinema and Vidya is extraordinary, totally indulged in the rasam to Jhonny Walker saga… The to-be-34-next-year actress is never afraid and without any iota of doubt, Vidya is miles ahead from her image conscious contemporaries, who lack the attitude, desire and confidence to bring out this bravura complex performance that will be pictured for years in the minds and hearts of real cinema aficionados.

Some may find ‘The Dirty Picture’ to be more dirty and less picture but that doesn’t takes the credit away from Vidya who started the year 2011 with ‘No One Killed Jessica’, now makes a statement to the bosses of entertainment industry dominated by men by her sultry, seductive, and piercing eyes via ‘The Dirty Picture’ that she is the woman Bollywood wants. No one else… Unbeatable…
