With 'Ladies v/s Ricky Behl', Ranveer Singh can finally shrug off all the loose talks surrounding him and can concentrate on his career ahead. With a good act that has been universally appreciated and fetched him some added recognition, at least now Ranveer can hope that people talk about his work instead of his off screen conduct.

"Ranveer is fighting it out quite bravely but deep inside he feels that all of it is quite unnecessary", says a friend of Ranveer, "He worked hard on getting his characterisation right for the film where he is playing a central protagonist in a title role. He has been carefully selecting the kind of movies that he wants to do over next couple of years. If he wanted, he could have signed half a dozen films by now but he is still not getting carried away. Won't it be better if he is talked about for his work than being criticised?"

When contacted, Ranveer maintained a calm persona and said, "Really, I don't allow all such negativity to enter my system. I take it in my stride. I know that all eyes are on me and the onus is on me to deliver. I have put my best foot forward and if detractors feel that my best is not good enough then well, I can't stop them from judging."
