Salman Khan posted an image to Twitter that read, "Respect art, respect artist, respect the audience. I support Kamal Haasan," and tweeted, "Censor board has passed it too naaa(sic)," adding, "Sure . 100% gonna see it(sic)."

The Bollywood superstar also said that the audience should decide whether or not a movie is good. He tweeted, “Dekho yaar its a movie n thr r only 2 kinds of movies good or bad. hit n flop N only people who decide r 1s who buy tickets(sic)." Kamal Hassan is having a hell of a time for his latest release ‘Viswaroopam’.

The film release was put on hold on various parts of the country. The film was banned in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Certain sections moved against the film, they claimed that the film shows Muslim in bad light. Kamal Hassan was highly shocked with the allegations.

He said, "I have been ruthlessly used as a vehicle by small groups who seek political profile. Icon bashing is a great way to be noticed when you are not one yourself. It is happening again and again. Any neutral and patriotic Muslim will surely feel pride on seeing my film. It was designed for that purpose."

He added, "I am not only hurt by these accusations of denigrating a community but my sensibilities are truly insulted. Now I will rely on law and logic to come to our support. This kind of cultural terrorism will have to stop."

He added that he has screen his film for Muslim fans and gave positive response. He also thanked his fans who lent their support to him. He said, "I have always gone beyond the call of my duty as an actor to voice my opinion in favor of what was humane and civil. I have been part of an organization called Harmony India which worked for Hindu-Muslim amity."
