Two years after 'Force', John Abraham is returning in a solo action avtar with 'Madras Cafe'. This time around he is producing the film as well while reuniting with 'Vicky Donor' director Shoojit Sircar. 'Madras Cafe' has an altogether different stage and setting though as it is set as an intriguing dramatic action thriller.

The film's promos indicate that an exciting affair in the offering though to begin with, the target audience is upmarket multiplex crowd. This isn't one of those 'masala' action affairs where gentry is expected to clap and whistle. Instead, action is a part of a narrative which should cater primarily to those who have followed and appreciated cinema of this genre coming from Hollywood.
This means that from critical acclaim perspective, the film should see a Thumbs Up. Also, while one doesn't expect horde of audience stepping into auditorium from the very first show, it should see a good escalation in the evening and then during the weekend owing to target audience footfalls.
The film would primarily see a comparatively larger multiplex presence since a large share of the single screens would be occupied by 'Chennai Express' and 'Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobaara'.
