Puneet, who first came in the limelight as Duryodhan of the epic serial ‘Mahabharat’ by B R Chopra, had made some teleserials like ‘Jai Mata Di’ and ‘Hindustani’ before venturing as a director on the large screen, though he continued to act in many films as the villain. This is one more in the series of films in the last few months on the Mumbai Police Khakee, Maqbool, Ab Tak 56, Aan, and Dev. Salman is restrained, but the romantic track is unnecessary.

Samar Singh and his men Arjun Ranawat and Hyder Ali are custodians of the law in the area in Mumbai where corruption and crime are the order of the day. They manage to eliminate several wanted criminals, but the powerful leaders of the underworld continue to create hurdles in their path. Ultimately, Samar Singh gets transfer orders, Hyder is eliminated, and subsequently the underworld headed by a Dubai-returned don and politicians headed by the Chief Minister target Arjun's mother and sister Rakhi who is raped. Arjun’s beloved is also in danger. This leaves Arjun with little choice except to act. When Arjun decides to conceal the reasons that prompted him to take the law in his own hands, Samar Singh fights his case.
